A long slow taper is advised. Google the Ashton Manual (Heather Ashton, an MD who is an expert at benzo detox) gives the best information.

A slow taper is usually the best for these medications, some of them, such as the Benzodiazepines, can cause seizures if they are stopped abruptly, after long-term use.

Have you discussed stopping with your doctor? They would be best able to advise you on a proper taper schedule.

Its a very mild benzo. Detox from it with some determination and some benadril and ibuprofen. Man up and do ... its not that hard to do.
