Greetings to all, My brother has sleep apnea for years. He suffered a heart attack two years ago. He was prescribed Vasotec which he is currently taking. His sleep apnea has worsened and he sleeps for 14 hours per day. He recently started using the cpap machine for his obstructive sleep apnea. Does Vasotec cause sleep apnea or make it worse if it is a pre-existing condition? I hope that someone can answer this question. Could you please let me know of other drugs in the vasotec family? I was told not to use vasotec or any other drugs in this family due to the reaction of severe coughing after I had been on this drug. I was told there are at least 7 drugs in this family. I would appreciate knowing what they are. Thank you.
