Within one half hour of using vandazole I experienced hives, dizziness, shortness of breath and the next morning i was still short of breath and felt like I was going to faint. About 2 months ago I began having symptoms of a yeast infection (itchiness, redness, white and non odorous cheesy discharge.) Having never had any problems of the sort before, I used monistat 1. I used the gel for the 5 nights I was suppose to with NO intercourse, and then the 6th night, when I was able, and did have intercourse, I started bleeding, and I haven't stopped for 2 days now. The expiration date on the Vandazole packaging says 02/2009. Can I still use it since its only been 3 months after? ## When It comes to any medication, I think it may be a good idea to start fresh with a new prescription, and not worry about whether or not the drug works like it's supposed to due to the expiration. The medication may be fine, however only you and your doctor can assess what and when it may be alright for you to take Vandazole.
