I am taking Trulance for IBS. Diarrhea is a side effect. If I wake up with diarrhea, should I still take Trulance? ## For me it didn’t work the horrible side effect of uncontrollable diarrhea meant that I tried for a week to get my body used to it it never did ## You should take it as your doctor has instructed. If the diarrhea is severe, and problematic, then you should discuss it with your doctor, as you may need to try a different medication. The FDA lists the other side effects of Trulance as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and gas. Ref: Trulance Information Jdragr, it takes more than a week for your body to get used to a medication, it usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks. What has your doctor advised now that you've stopped taking it?
