Terfenadine, formerly sold under the trade name Seldane was discontinued on the U.S. market in 1997, due to the dangers of serious heart complications it could cause as a side effect. Canada pulled the drug in 1999 for the same reasons and it has also been removed from the U.K. market. That said, because of the dangers it causes, I definitely do not think any doctor would recommend its use for a nursing mother.
