Thank you for your reply. I haven't had a surgery date set for removal of my kidney yet but as soon as I talk to my Uronologist this coming week to find out if it is just a mass or cancer I am sure that the surgery will be set. Should I just stop taking the suboxone now to be sure that it is out of my body? And what could I take now for the pain I am having now on that kidney that has to go? I am in pain now and I took a suboxone to help but it's doing nothing. Am scared that I have been doing the Naloxone for so long that they may not be able to treat me for the pain that I am about to endure. If you can help me with any of the answers I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Dear Veron did I mention that I have been takeing the Suboxyn witch also has Noloxyn a opiate blocker in it for a little over a year.So would that make a difference than what you had said?

Usually, you only have to stop the Suboxone for a few days, before surgery. Your surgeon should be able to provide you with the specific time frame for stopping it.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
