I was a CA resident, moved to OR and WA and neither state physicians would prescribe oxy or percocet.
If you adjust to the butrans you will still have residual pain. WA passed very conservative laws last year and doctors are bound by them.
Ask pain doctor to give you a 20 day script rather than 30. A patch every 5 days worked better.
In the long run, after being addicted to percs, getting on Butrans took away some other negative drug addiction issues.
CA is even more conservative nowthanlast year.

If you live in WA and have a WA identification, then a doctor in Oregon isn't going to be able to prescribe you a controlled substance, either. The same laws have been put in effect throughout the U.S., not just in WA.

If you require something such as Oxycodone for long-term pain treatment, except for in rare cases, you'll have to see a pain management specialist for treatment. There are new restrictions on what any general practice doctor or surgeon can prescribe.
