dry skin ## Can this be used under eyes on very red dry and a bit itchy skin ## This is a corticosteroid that is used to treat topical skin conditions, such as allergic rashes, and hives. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, burning, and flaking. Ella, it depends on what is causing the issue. Has your medical provider told you to use it on those areas? If so, you must be very careful not to get it in your eyes. You must be cautious, because if used improperly, it might worsen some conditions, such as acne, migraines, and rosacea.

Please tell me any suggestion about what I can do now ## Hello, Shubham! How are you? Yes, acne can be a side effect of the steroid in Metacortil, along with headache, skin irritation and dizziness. It's listed as containing Mometasone, via Medicine India. At this point, it will really just be a matter of time for it to clear up on its own. Medication side effects aren't permanent, but it may take a few weeks for things to return to normal and for it to clear up. Trying anything else, at this point, could just make things worse. Have you consulted your doctor? They may have other ideas that could help you. ## dear sir, I'm fine ...

I was taking Mometasone for about 3 weeks for a sinus infection. I stopped about 6 weeks ago. Now I am experiencing joint pain and soreness, specifically on my wrists and hands. My back has also been feeling more sore than usual. Does anybody think it is possible that this is a result of the Mometasone? ## Hello, Alex! How are you? If you stopped taking it 6 weeks ago, then no, it isn't likely to be from the Mometasone, though it is a steroid class medication, most side effects typically wear off within a week or so of stopping it. Are you on any other medications? Did you take an antibiotic for the infection? ## I am not on any other medication. I was on an antibiotic ( I think it was Ampicillin ) for the sinus infection at the same time as I was given Mometosone to use.

Could i apply this to my hand to replenish my skin in the burned areas? ## From what I could gather, Mometasone furoate cream USP 0.1% is a medium potency corticosteroid, indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Ref: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=19691 Dermatoses is a general term used to describe any skin defect or lesion on the skin. So in that sense, it should be of some help to your skin. I would also suggest rubbing cucumber on the affected area for additional healing benefits. I believe the more fresh fruit and vegetables we eat, the easier it is for our skin and other organs to heal thems...
