My doc wanted me to take nuclear medicine, but i&#39;m avoiding that as I don&#39;t want the &#34;pop eyes&#34; etc, along with it. I am on 15 mgs of methimazole down from 20 mgs 2 months ago. For 4 yrs I have gone from hyperthyroid to hypothyroid; back &amp; forth &amp; back &amp; forth; major weight gain- from 120 lbs to 170lbs in 4yrs- cannot seem to lose the weight.
