Update- I was able to fill my monthly script without any issues. Am I in the clear with my Dr or do you think it will eventually be red flagged?

Thank you for the response. I have been seeing my Dr for over two years now. Do you recommend I contact my Dr office and let them know of the situation before my monthly visit?

Sorry to hear you are feeling so unwell.Im afraid it may indeed cause some red flags to be raised since this prep. Contains complex resins of hydrocodone bitrate a very abusable opiate sought out by many recreational drug users. I expect you will have some difficulty in explaining this to your pm doc unless you enjoy a long standing relationship based on complete adherence.Im assuming you legit use your meds but most docs in this overly restrictive environment tend to accuse first then fear for their license.A sad way to PRACTICE MEDICINE but it is what it is. Sorry I couldn't provide you with a more optimistic view on this controversial subject matter.

I'm prescribed norco for pain management and I had to visit an urgent care last week for an related matter. I was prescribed heavy dosage of antibiotics and cough syrup. I noticed now that the cough syrup is tussionex pk which contains hydrocodone. I didn't even have a need for such a hardcore cough syrup. Will this raise a red flag with my PM Dr? I see my pain management Dr this week.

Yes, it isn't advisable that you do both. You can't take the Oxycodone while taking Suboxone, anyway. The active ingredients in Suboxone bind to the opiate receptors in your brain and prevent other opiates from having any effect on you. Additionally, before you start Suboxone, you have to be in full withdrawal from all other opiates, or it could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals.

The FDA classifies Suboxone as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
