I have been on Gildess 1/20 for 5 months and have had some break through bleeding in the beginning but it went away. I have had bad cramping on my period and in the middle of my pack. I typically take my pill in the morning around 9:00am but last saturday I forgot and took it at 10:00pm but I had already started to bleed by 9:00pm. Its now friday its been a week and I am still bleeding bad. Enough to wear a pad. Its aways worse in the morning and gets less at night. However my cramps are constant. I have no idea what to do? Or whats wrong? Could missing one pill by a couple of hours do this? - Filed in Birth Control / Contraceptive

Hello, Kayla! How are you? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having.

It really doesn't sound like this is the right OC for you to take. You should most likely try a different one. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to prescribe an alternative.

Some side effects are normal, but not the constant cramping like that.
