My doctor prescribed Estradiol (1 mg) and progesterone (100 mg) because I still have ovaries. Started me on the lowest dose. I was having horrible hot flashes like every half hour!!! They were unbearable. So the estrogen worked for them and for vaginal dryness as well. I did gain about 5-10 pounds however. But after a year and half of taking this I started spotting blood. Is this normal? I am post menopausal by the way. But does it make you bleed some what? Only for about a week and then stopped. Was not bad but… I don’t know if that is normal or not? Does it come with taking the hormone replacement therapy meds? I’ve not had this issue before ever and it’s been about 5 years since my last period. What does it do to your uterus??
