Is Darvin a generic for Darvocet? ## I think you mean the drug Darvon - No, Darvon is not generic for Darvocet. Darvocet contains Acetaminophen + Propoxyphene Darvon is only Propoxyphene. ## No it is definitely darvin 32.5/325mg i thought darvon at first too but the bottle definitely says darvin when I submitted my prescription to a pharmacy for darvocet this is what I got in the mail. Does anyone know about this?? ## Dana, You're right - Darvin IS actually another brand of Acetaminophen + Propoxyphene, basically the same as Darvocet. Encyclopedia actually did say the following: 'In the United States, dextropropoxyphene HCl is available as a prescription with acetaminophen in ratio anywhere from 30mg / 600mg to 60mg / 325mg, respectively. These are usually named Darvocet, Darvin...
