It was on day seven of atenolol day prescription of apo-amoxi clav 500/125 that a rash started. I woke up in the morning with my hands burning. It travelled up my arm from my hands. The rest of my body broke out soon after. Head and neck the worst. I had my hair coloured the day before. On Benadryl and have found no relief after one day.

Thanks David. I did contact my doctor and he took me off them. I may be allergic to the amoxicillin. And he told me to get an antihistamine tablet. Thanks again.

Clavamel contains the active ingredients Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid; commonly sold in the US under the name Augmentin. This is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections.

From my perspective, it becomes obvious to me that this rash is the result of an allergic reaction to the drug. So as the information above puts it, I think it would be wise to follow up with your doctor about it and possibly consider the option of switching medications.
