Recently I have taken Clarithromyacin as part of a two week treatment along with Amoxicillian and Lanzoprazole to try to cure H Pylori. I also take Phenobarbitone and Phenytoin to control my Epilepsy which has been successful for over 37 years. However since completing the course of Clarithromyacin etc last week I have experienced nerve spasms and some slight muscle twitches. The patient leaflet informs you that in very rare cases while taking the drug convuslions may occur but it does not state whether or not there are any known side effects once the drug is no longer taken.
