I have tried to find specifics as to why this medication was discontinued, with no results. I am a life time suffer of sinusitis and for 3 solid years, this is the only medication that kept me OFF of continuous antibiotics for sinus infections. My insurance won't pay for sinus surgery and I have tried virtually EVERYTHING on the market. Nothing works like the Ru-hist Forte did. From what I can find, it seems that it was due to the Pyrilamine in it, it's just been replaced with newer antihistamines that have been shown to be more effective and to cause less side effects.
