what are the long term side afects of takeing centrax tabs i am on them for over 15years ## Hello, Tess! How are you? They do carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability, as reported by the U.S. FDA. Have they been prescribed for you? Some people do have to take them long-term, but your doctor should be monitoring you for any possible problems or issues.

round and blueish green ## Though they are often thought to be the same as Valium, Centrax tablets actually contain a different benzodiazepine called Prazepam, it is used to treat anxiety, nervous disorders, seizures, for sedation and as a muscle relaxant. Similar to other drugs in this class, it may also be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, fatigue and lethargy. Of interest to note is that this one is known to cause fewer occurrences of the side effects than its relatives. Learn more Prazepam details here. Are there any comments or questions?

Can taking antidepressants & sleeping tablets together cause memory loss? I am on tablets for epilespy as well! ## I need information about Centrax tablets ## I need patient information leaflet about Centrax ## i need centrax ## Centrax contains the active ingredient Prazepam, this is actually a Benzodiazepine, commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Since one of its side effects is drowsiness, some doctors will use it to treat insomnia, as well, however, it IS NOT in and of itself a sleeping pill! That said, yes, Benzodiazepines can cause memory loss and some forms of amnesia, as well as headaches and irriatbility. You can read more here: Is there anything else I can help you with?
