Although the directions say to take with OR without food, my advice is to take with food because this medication can be rough on the gastrointestinal(G.I.) tract, as evidenced by a side effect of diarrhea. May also dry you out, so drink a good amount of water, which is a good idea anyway, especially when your body is fighting off an infection. ## Most antibiotics will cause diarrhea when they start to take effect in your body, that is a perfectly normal effect.
