This resulted in a syncopal episode resolved somewhat by smelling salts. ## Earlier this year I was given Carbocaine at the dentist. I had it at two visits that were about a month apart. The first time, I had an overwhelming hot flash, followed by an even stronger hot flash. The dentist blew air from the dental equipment on me, and she said it was due to anxiety. I didn&#39;t think that was the case, but it stopped, so I went along with it. A little while later, my legs started shaking uncontrollably - like it was an adrenaline rush. No anesthetic using adrenaline had been given. A few weeks later, I had a 2nd procedure and was given the same anesthetic again. This time I got the hot flash ...</p>]]></description>
