After two years of hives, facial swelling, inflammation and weight gain, I am cautiously optimistic that I have discovered what has caused the hives. Its been two years of steroid treatments, humiliating hives, pain and major swelling. (Stress also makes the vicious cycle spin). I went to multiple doctors, (Derm, General, Rhuemotologist, OBGYN - hormones?, and three different allergists). had extensive allergy testing. The results indicated that I was "allergic" to wheat, corn, eggs, mushrooms, almonds etc. I drastically changed my diet to eat only vegetables, fruits, meat proteins and some rice.
