Hi Marie,
Do you happen to know the name of the medication that was prescribed to you in Korea? As long as the language on the script could be translated into English, I don't see why a doctor wouldn't be able to distinguish what the active ingredients are and determine their availability here in the US.
The most common weight loss drug that I'm aware of here in the US goes by the name of Phentermine. My opinion is if you can't get a doctor to understand the script, then opting for something that's more commonly recognized, such as Phentermine, may be a more feasible route to go; that way you don't run into anymore problems with getting it filled.
