Simvastatin Withdrawal
UpdatedHas anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms after going off Simvatatin?

Hello, Sylvia! How are you?
You may experience withdrawal symptoms from stopping any medication that you've taken for a long period of time, because your body got used to having that chemical added regularly. They just aren't the same as the severe and dangerous withdrawals that one my experience from narcotics, or drug abuse.
The FDA classifies this medication as a statin that is used to help lower cholesterol and the withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, fever, chills and aches.
Is there anything else I can help with?
