Hello, Jennifer! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having.

However, with the way you describe your symptoms, I have to wonder if you may have more of a hormonal issue going on, or perhaps even both anxiety and hormonal irritability.

How old are you? Generally, after age 35, women may start to experience hormonal fluctuations, usually the start of perimenopause, because they aren't ovulating each month, so their hormones tend to go haywire.

I was experiencing symptoms very similar to yours, but have had great results from a low dose of Prozac, after consulting my doctor. It's an SSRI that can help with both the anxiety and irritability, but it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight loss. It's something you may want to ask a doctor about.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
