Embeda And Feeling Dizzy

My husband has been taking Embeda for about a week now. Every time he sits up he gets too dizzy like he passes out for about a second and falls back on the bed. Also happens when he lays down from sitting up, he gets really dizzy.

Hello, Elaine! How is your husband doing? Has there been any change?

This medication can cause severe dizziness in some people. What dosage is he currently taking?

However, as reported by the FDA, it can also cause orthostatic hypotension as a side effect, that's when your blood pressure drops, when you move suddenly and it sounds like that might be what he's experiencing.

Has he consulted his doctor? He needs to have this checked out as it may not be the right medication for him to take, passing out like that could be dangerous.

Hi Verwon. I am dizzy and groggy from Embeda 2.4 2 capsules daily. I just want to sleep. I was taking 3 30 mg Ms Contin ER and 2 15 mg IR daily. 120 mg overall. I don't use other drugs. I do take 3 800 gabapentin daily and 3 1mg Xanax for a long time. It all makes me want to stay in bed. I have high blood pressure medicine (lisinopril and clonidine). I am not feeling great. It feels like pain is controlled, with headaches and dizziness and uncontrollable drowsiness.
