Duspatalin Retard 200 Side Effect (Top voted first)

I am taking Duspatalin Retard 200 for over a month. The medical doctor said I can take it for life. Are there any long term side effects in taking this medecine?

I took it for a few weeks and it was amazing--completely healing my painful stomach cramps. My doc prescribed it 3x a day for 15 days, but I wasn't able to follow that. When I finished all 45 tablets (supposedly for 15 days but stretched into a month), my cramps came back and when I took it again, sometimes my cramps don't go away. I have more stress right now though, and sometimes I don't get to take it 20 minutes before eating. Does this mean the medicine has lost its strength for me?

The active ingredient of Duspatalin? is Mebeverine HCI, and it is used to treat abdominal pain & cramps, bowel disturbances & intestinal discomfort related to irritable bowel syndrome.

Side effects are not commonly reported, although in rare cases skin reactions and dizziness have been reported.

i have been using dustpatalin retard for 15 days..then i coulnd continue that 4 a week ago as the capsule gt finished..but doctor said me2 tak it for 3 months..so is it okay2 continue it after a week? will it work?? plss tell meeeeee

I have been using Duspatalin Retard 200mg for about four months. This med did wonders for me, after every meal my heart beats and blood pressure used to shoot up, and every stomach problem I had u name it. Just first tablet resolved all my issues. Doctor prescribed me for 3 months but he said i may continue all my life as it is very safe. Unfortunately recently i have started having high BP again, if im hungry its better and after meal it becomes really bad. I am just wondering may be the medicine has lost its effect. I spoke to dr. he said i may take anxiolytic tablet also, but such medicines have prolonged side effects, dont want to take it. Any suggessions?

i am talking esmoprazol 20mg for 5month and i dont find much changes and my problrm is chest pain very much and i shorten in breath after i eat i start burfing i feal some thing is stuck in my chest than my doctor said to continune for 1 year same madicine and even gave me duspatalin retard so do you think it will work for me and plea if any one know tell me i am havein too much gastric problem please tell me wat doo pleasssssssss

I would say get yourself a ultrasound and ask the doctor what is wrong! You cant just take any meds you can be suffering from gale bladder stones or anything else. The best is to get an Ultrasound of your tummy.

I have similar conditions, and to some extent same medications.I suffer also from constipation. I take a double dose of a syrup laxative (Ezilax) i.e about 30 ml once or twice a week ( I prefer taking it before food) and it helps too much. you have to stay at home for at least three hours after taking this medicine.
