Azithromycin 250 Mg For Poison Ivy

I have had a reaction to poison ivy going on 3 weeks now. My face has been swelling and I really can't stop itching. I have had a cortisone shot, took prednisone, then they gave me a methylprednisolone dose pack.. I wonder if I need azithromycin?

That is an antibiotic, so it is not going to do anything to help with an allergic reaction, it will only help treat, or prevent infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

Have you tried consulting a dermatologist? That really sounds like a severe allergic reaction.
