I am only two weeks into accutane (absorica) only on 20 mg. I am thinking of getting a tattoo within the next couple of days. is it safe to get one that soon into the treatment?

Hello, Katie! How are you?

You shouldn't have any tattoos done, while taking Accutane. It can interfere with healing and increase the risk of your developing severe scar tissue, which could mess up a tattoo.

The FDA lists the other typical side effects of Accutane as possibly including nausea, joint pain, skin infection, skin rash, nosebleeds and blurred vision.

Is there anything else I can help with?
