I located a "possible" match to your pill, based on your description. This pill is white, triangle-shaped, with "M" on one side and "8" on the other. The "M" looks like a "3" if held sideways, so I thought there was a chance that the marking could've been misread on your pill.
If you run a search for "m 8 white triangle pill" on google images, you'll see the pill I'm referring to. It is Hydromorphone hydrochloride (8 mg).
