White Oval Pill S 500 (Top voted first)

What is a small white pill that can be split in the middle, has "S" on one end and "500" on the other end? There's nothing on the back.

Is the marking possibly S 900?

If so, Dava Pharmaceuticals lists it as containing .25mgs of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax. It is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and nervous disorders.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability.

Though they can vary depending on production facility, the inactive ingredients are listed as containing:

crospovidone
docusate sodium
lactose
magnesium stearate
microcrystalline cellulose
silicon dioxide
sodium benzoate
corn starch

Thank you that's That's what it is. I had a prescription for this when my husband died. Don't know how it that separated from bottle.
