UpdatedIS RISPERIDONE USED FOR ANXIETY?

No, it isn't typically used for just anxiety.
Risperidone is a very potent atypical antipsychotic, which is most commonly used to treat schizophrenia and the manic episodes of bipolar disorders, as well as some other severe mental health problems.
Its side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, sedation and weight changes.

does anyone know if oyu can take hydrocondone/apap while taking Risperidone ?
I do not believe there to be a problem taking them with hydrocodone or oxycodone. I know a couple people that take both combinations, and are prescribed by the same doctor.
can risterione help a man with challenging behaviour disorder
I'm taking 1mg Risperidone and 50mg of Zoloft. I've PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, depression with manic phases, some OCD,some paranoid personality traits, borderline personality traits, anger issues and other various undiagnosed psychological traits. I've only just started to see a psychologist (1session so far) and I've had a GP diagnose me with the help of a Skyped psychologist (45min session) as having just a couple of the above mentioned. I'm due to see a psychiatrist soon, which will no doubt be far better than a short 45mins...not long enough to diagnose someone at all. Anyways...my question is why would I be started on Risperidone but only to be taken off of it eventually in the near future (my GP says when I've had psychologist therapy)??? I don't have any faith in my GP as she doesn't listen, doesn't check for any other underlying issues health wise...just did a very basic blood test...didn't weigh me or check blood pressure, didn't organise a psychiatrist appointment(as I've never seen one ever, yet have always suffered different things due to a very bad childhood). I've changed GP's and the first visit he had me in for extensive blood tests for lupus,Ross river virus, dengue, Epstein Barr etc etc as I've other symptoms that relate to other things going on in my body and mind etc. that could be something else. My new GP has even referred me to a rheumatoid specialist. So back to the question....why on earth would I be prescribed Risperidone only to be taken off of it completely in the near future??? To me it makes no sense. Without medication I'm not remotely close to being 'normal' so why take me off something? Thanks
