Hi I'm a young guy still in highschool I freak out all the time but anyways I worried about my tooth it got infected and said I needed a root canal and the tooth beside it is all right but the one beside it is throbbing and it hurts to push its my front tooth I don't want to lose it at a young age please help

A root canal doesn't constitute losing the tooth. As detailed by the NIH, it involves drilling down into the tooth to remove the roots that have been damaged by the infection and then the tooth is usually capped. This eliminates the pain and prevents reinfection.
The other tooth may not be infected itself, it could be painful due to the infection in the other one, but only your dentist can let you know for sure.
Did they prescribe an antibiotic?
