WHAT IS HARM IN TAKING 0.25 ALZOLAM TABLET FOR SOUND SLEEP? BECAUSE OTHERWISE IF I DONT TAKE I CANT HAVE A SOUND SLEEP

Taking Alzolam.25 daily. No sleep without it.Started 6 months. Any better option available? Any side effect on long term use?

today just 3 hours back, all of a sudden my husband fell unconcious on the ground. it looked like epileptic fit. i m confused whether it is or not. he was clenching his mouth tight. even his body was clenched. it happened for the first time. we called a general physician. he prescribed alzopam .5 to be taken at bedtime.
i am very much worried as of what has happened and what could be the effect of this medicine if taken for long???? its been days my husband is going through tremendous stress and anxiety. m worried as of whether stress and mental imbalance can lead to epilepsy???? doc said it was not an epileptic fit. hubby couldn't recall what happened. when gained little conciousness, he was saying unintelligible sentences. husband is totally oblivious to this incident and the immediate aftermath of his utterances. plz help. m panicking now.

I have been taking Alzolam 0.50 twice daily since 2010 and have suffered no side effects apart from the occasional confusion and uncontrollable anger. This is normal. However, nowadays I am having insomnia even when i boosted my intake to 3 pills daily. Something wrong?
