Reaction To Bentyl

How long after taking your first pill can you have a reaction to it? I have taken one over 3 hours ago and felt like it was a bit hard to breath for the first couple hours and feel weird in the head now 3 1/2 hours later. My face is also getting red.

Bentyl is known for those type of reactions. I would say that sometimes the effects may last for a while but after your body get's use to the pill over the course of a couple of weeks even a month the feelings will wane. I think for some people we will always have that mild feeling of taking something but if the get to much to bear after a few weeks talk to your doctor about changes your medication. I had to learn the hard way...lol.

I'd also like to add a warning about a possible allergic reaction, the red face could be a symptom, according to NIH reports. Other allergic reaction symptoms may include swelling, severe difficultly breathing, and hives. If you experience any of these, please seek emergency medical attention.
