Please Help Me Find A Pharmacy In Orlando That Has Oxycodone 30mg Stock (Page 2)

I have been without my (valid) Oxycodone 30mg prescription for 4 weeks now because all of the pharmacies I've gone to in Altamonte Springs, Matiland, Ocoee and Winter Park (all in the Orlando, Fl area) do not have it and/or have not had it in stock for a while. My Dr. has written the prescription and I have authentic back and hip pain from a car accident that occurred 9 years ago, the same night my mother died of breast cancer at the hospital. I have tried purchasing it through my insurance company's online pharmacy, who is the ONLY pharmacy that has it, but it is way too expensive - the co-pay is higher than it would be at Walgreens plus they tack on the shipping charges. By the time this option was suggested to me, I'd already spent more money than I could afford taking cabs and buses all over multiple cities here in Orange County in search of any pharmacy that can fill my script. So, unfortunately, I am stuck with a Rx, just enough money to pay my $10 co-pay and extreme pain like I have never experienced before as a result of going without my meds for so long. If anyone can tell me what pharmacy, anywhere near Orlando, that has my Rx FOR SURE, I will find a way to get there. I have an 11-yr old, work full-time and ride the bus. I cannot be immobile and I have already missed a lot of days from work, plus I am the one responsible for everything that needs to get done around my home. PLEASE HELP ME! If you have the name of the pharmacy or a link to a site that can help me or any advice I would be so very thankful! I've been reading other threads and posts and it appears I am not the only one having this problem. However, I must make this clear - I have had the same PCP for years, have CT Scans, MRIs and X-Rays to prove my injuries are real and my pain is valid. I know we live in a society filled with families that have become increasingly affected by addiction, in all forms - pills, legal and illegal narcotics. But if proving to you all that I am not a junkie or deceiving anyone in order to get your help is what I have to do, I have no qualms about including this little blurb about my injuries. So, anyone?

So I've been on MSIR 30 mgs for a decade( perfect record etc)... Now I'm out completely and can't find anywhere in Orlando that has it( anyone in chronic pain knows that driving all around is not even a possibility please help

According to Walgreens, there distributor, Cardinal Health has been raided by DEA and is not allowed to ship any out for TWO YEARS per the agreement they signed with DEA. It is on there website in news. Hope this helps. I know how you all feel, in the same predicament. I work in the health care industry and always where my work uniform to pharmacy so they seem to treat me with a little more respect and not like a junkee, but I have not found them in a month in Orlando or 15 miles around there.

All comments concerning the so called shortage of roxicodone 30's are in fact correct. The DEA is trying to eliminate them altogether in the State of Florida. They have done a great job of that too. However, some Walgreens have them but they are charging a lot of money. I feel bad for the legit people who need them, it's a shame that the other's ruined it for them. If you can't find them, call ur Dr. and tell him to rewrite you a different prescription. Otherwise u just wasted your money. I am told that if one can obtain this med, it has changed into a blue capsule, not a blue pill like before. Good luck.

If you are having trouble with getting filled, call Insurer and see if they have a pharmacy in house to fill them for you and mail them out. i have no problem with it at all.

Thank you, Verwon!!!! I agree - an official statement would seem appropriate since this no longer coincidence that no pharmacy at ALL in my county is neither carrying it or ordering it anymore...even the one reliable Walgreens I was using has been out for over a month! THANKS again for your reply!

I do have United and that's who I'm going to go ahead and order it from....it's just a shame that it's costing me considerably more than my regular pharmacy co-pay would be...but I'll make the sacrifice...been reading other posts and threads online and I see I am clearly not the only one having difficulties...thanks again for replying!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your replies! I think I will take your advice and pay the extra money to mail-order it. FYI - one CVS pharmacy actually admitted that they have stopped ordering it altogether because of the hassles from the DEA.

From the many posts on this site, regardless of your legitimacy, it seems that almost no one in Florida has been able to get their prescriptions filled for Oxycodone.

There has been no direct and official explanation, so it's unknown if the pharmacies just can't get the medication, or if there is something else going on, but it isn't changing no matter how much someone needs the pain relief.

not sure if johnny hurting is right but i wuld try mailorder pharmacy bc medco has no shortage i'll tell you hat its not where i get my meds from but just saying to try if you have BCBS blue cross or United Health Care.
