I have had a number of orthopedic surgeries over the years and I am a recovery opiate addict. I had a doctor prescribe me suboxone for pain. Seemed to work well but it has become increasingly expensive and I feel like I need to come off of it. I have been on it for over 2 years. I have been tapering the dose over a few months and then stopped. I still have had major withdrawl symtoms and it has become very frustrating. I feel like I'm back where I was when I was coming off opiates. Does anyone know how long it could possibly take to accomplish this. I blame some of this on the doctor because all he cared about was the consultation fee. I don't think he cared if I ever came off! I was on heavy duty pain meds. 4 almost 11 years, then became addicted. So, I went on methadone 4 almost 5 years. I was on (110) and then tapered 2 (24) at that point, I was so sick from w/d. I went 2 my Drs. In tears begging 4 help. He told me I could stay on the meth and increase the dose or go on subs. I had come.so far down with the meth, I choose the subs. I suffer from severe pain due 2 many of surgeries and medical problems. I've been on the subs. 4 about 7-8 years now. I don't want 2 get off it, cause, I know I would b right back on pain pills. My ? I am going to be kicked out of the first program I found after searching for a year because I was told if I had a dirty urine I would be kicked out. So I used my boyfriends urine and put sub pill in it. What's funny is it was my dealer that told me this so I'm sure he had an ulterior motive for telling me. Now in retrospect, I realize this but at the time. 9 am this morning I wasn't quite thinking clearly and I decided it would be better to do this than not have my medication. Can anyone tell me of any doctors who prescribe Opiate Pain Medication In The Pittsburgh PA Area. Ever since my PCP moved out of state, I've been having trouble with Dr's treating my chronic Arthritic Condition First hip replacement at 28. The other side done 4 years later. Both ankle joints are bone on bone & all my other joints are almost the same. I'm 52 & have been taking 80mg's methadone 4 times a day. over the last 20 years. How long after taking one dose of 10 mg of methadone is is detectable in the system for a drug test for example? Hi. I've been on a methadone program for 3 years now and I was tested yesterday for a pre job test and was positive for opiates and I know for a fact that the only drug I've taken in 3 years is methadone. Is it because I'm on such a high dose that I tested positive for opiates? ?

i have been off crack since may 2000, I have never slipped nor relapsed. It has been a struggle, but well worth it. I was taken off 9 years of Methadone regimen for cronic pain around October 2013. They will not give take homes when you first start to go to the clinic. You have to prove yourself over a period of time to get take homes. Such a databases would be extremely dynamic and very hard to keep up to date, anyway. I just moved to WV and need a Dr. That will prescribe methadone. Because I don't want to go to a methadone clinic ## If you're using it for addiction treatment, then you have no choice but to go to a clinic as it is against the law for private physicians to prescribe it for addiction treatment. I have some hair that I collected after my son 19 yrs old, and they claim it was a methadone overdose however urine and blood was negative for any drugs. they said they did a gas chromatography and they claim a small amount was found. I have MD's that are friends and pharmacists and they disagree with the findings. at the funeral home there was blood oozing out of his right ear. I am an ICU RN and pt's I have had pt's that have taken methadone and their urine shows up positive for opiates.

i took ten vicodines and 2 oxycodine within a two day period how long will it leave my urine for testing. i just started zubsolv and i love it. most pharmacy's did not carry it. however, it can be ordered overnight. most insurance covers it but may need a pre-aurthorization. its much easier to take then suboxan tabs or strips. you still put it under your tongue but it dissolve quickly. it did burn at first but this went away after a couple minutes and there's no gross glue aftertaste like sub. strips. the 5.7mg. is confusing at first. i contacted Orexo, the company that makes zubsolve. they explained that its simply a different formulation. you are actually absorbing 8 mg.......good luck to all !!! ## Hi Diana, I’m glad to hear that your experience with ZUBSOLV has been positive so far. I am currently on 1mg Suboxone and getting ready to stop taking altogether. What are the repercussions ? ## Hi paranah, How long were you on Suboxone for? And have you always been on a 1mg dosage? I know some people have mentioned on other threads that they had no problem stopping a 1mg dose, without withdrawals; yet in other cases, long term patients have still had withdrawal issues even past the 0.5mg mark. Whereas they found themselves having to taper down to .25 mg for about a week before being able to stop completely. Everyone's different though, so you may just need to contact your doctor regarding a tapering schedule if you feel like you need additional assistance.
