I have been taking subutex for about 7months now , before that I took suboxone for 2 yrs . I like the subutex a lot better not near as groggy and less headaches. I have been very careful about not getting pregnant and somehow it happened . I take half of an 8mg tablet 3 times a day but here recently since being pregnant it doesn't seem to be working as well , I realize I have a lot of extra blood flow and am assuming that's probably why. Also everytime I go to put them under my tounge within 2-4 mins the morning sickness kicks in and I throw everything up including the majority of the pill . Well it's 9 days till I get my next refill and I'm out and I don't know what to do. Should I call my Dr to see if I can refill early or what ? I guess I'm just afraid to ask ...

Hello! I would like to start a thread to help those having difficulty finding treatment for their addiction. Buprenorphine can salvage lives and stimulate positive change. But finding the right doctor can prove to be an astronomical problem. Let's help by providing cost/location/clinical information regarding addiction: providers, doctors, psychiatrists & treatment facilities. I'll start it off by giving specific info. about my psychiatrist. Dr. Nathan Strahl Durham, N.C. Cost of Visit - $150 per month - He requires patients to be seen once a month. Prescribes - Suboxone Film/Suboxone Tablet - will not prescribe Subutex. He is a dual diagnosis provider. He will write benzos & stimulants with time & proof of patient sincerity as well as need. Finding treatment can hon...

I have been using subutec for 7-8 months now, I decided I was well enough to try some Roxy 30s again, now 4 days after I'm deathly ill, can't stop vomiting. Nothing will stay down, what should I do?? ## Subutex will prevent other opiates from working, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you usually have to wait at least 3 days, before other opiates will work for you, again. The FDA classifies Subutex as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, if you didn't experience these symptoms until 4 days later, it is very doubtful that they are related to taking the Roxicodone, you may just have the flu or a virus...

I take 8, 4ml dilaudid a day. This morning I tried to start on suboxone and went into the worst physical withdrawal experience I have ever experienced. I am scared to try again. How long is a safe time frame after my last dose to take the strip? I can't go through that again. ## Hello, Aleesha! How are you? Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, you must be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone. There's no specific time frame that can be given, it van vary from person to person, but it has to be full withdrawal. I have some bad pain and I don't take any narcotics at all. I was just wondering if I take one half of an 8mg suboxone pill (4mg), how long will it take to get out of my system for a urine test? I haven't took any thing yet at all. I'm 136 lbs and 5 ft tall.

Does anyone recommend subsolv over suboxone ## Some people prefer one over the other, depending on which seems to work better for them. Which has your doctor recommended? OK. I was dependent on oxycodone and norco for over a year. Started taking suboxone at just 8mg a day (that's not low, subs are extremely strong). Every 4 days I took off a mg till I was down to 1mg. After 4 days on 1mg I stopped and very light withdrawal for just ONE DAY! Then I was fine! As far as taking norco with suboxone, I just waited 5 hours and didn't go into WD but didn't feel the norco at all. So you need to wait a few days to feel opiates after taking suboxone, but I don't recommend that because you may not be out of your sub withdrawals (just not realizing it) and go into WD. Wait 2 weeks. I went cold turkey of of 80mg oxycodone per day and it was hell, so I can call subs a miracle. If you taper right you'll have almost NO WD! Hope this PSA helps.

Took only two doses of suboxone hated it when can I go back to pecocet ## Hello, Kitty! How are you? You'll need to wait about 3 days, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Otherwise the Naloxone in the Suboxone will prevent the Percocet from working. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Today is Sunday a I have been taking 1/3 of an 8/mg strip everyday for about 12 days. I have surgery on wed., I'm also Being put to sleep. My question is after I take a third Sunday if I stop completely will I be ok on wed for the surgery and pain mess after ## Hello, Jesse! How are you? There is a chance that the Naloxone in the Suboxone could cause problems with the anesthesia and prevent pain medications from working, after surgery. So, it's very important that you tell the surgeon you're taking it and see how far off from surgery they want you to stop taking it. Hi. I've been taking about 1-1 & half mg a day of suboxone for a while now & I think I have to have blood work done on the 31st b4 my Hep Dr starts the treatment. I've stopped taking it 3 days ago, so it would be over 10 days when they do the bloodwork. What are the chances of me testing clean? If I dont test clean, I was told that my insurance wont pay for my treatment, & so I'm screwed totally! Any educated help or advice would be greatly appreciated, please. Thanx

I'm getting ready to call a Dr to see abt getting on subutex. I'm currently on 96mgs of methadone and go to a methadone clinic and have been for 10 years and I'm done w it! I'm hoping it is possible to switch directly to subutex from 96mgs of methadone(since it's subutex, not suboxone). I'm also on valium for anxiety and have been on benzodiazepines for legitimate anxiety for 10 years(mostly valium). My friend who went to a Dr. and was prescribed suboxone, says he thinks that they don't let you be on valium if they're going to prescribe you subutex/ suboxone. Is this true? Plus I really don't want suboxone. And I've tried subutex before with great results but it did make me anxious and if I didn't have my valium I might not have been able to t...

I've been on suboxone for 8 years, I take random DOT urine drug tests & suboxone definitely 100% for sure does not come up at all! ## The reason it doesn't show up is because the Buprenorphine isn't tested for on the standard tests, it requires a specific special test in order to be detected. Learn more Suboxone details here. That's why it's usually only detected by pain management physicians that are specifically looking for it. Are there any comments or questions? ## Very correct... Tired of so many people stressin out for nothin when all they have ta do is read ur post.. I have been on Suboxone for 4 months. The first month I tested positive for benzos because I went to the hospital with really bad Vertigo. The Dr. on duty gave me Valium in an iv, for the dizziness, even through I told him I was on Suboxone. He assured me it was fine so I trusted him. I tested positive at my doc the next 2 urine tests. I told him what had happened and he told me it was bad blah blah. I get it. My next test was clean. Today I went in and tested positive for benzos again! I was baffled. I swear on the Bible I had taken no benzos of any kind. The reason I'm on Suboxone isn't because of benzos in the first place. I only take the Suboxone and vitamins my Dr. prescribes. He was mad and said he was going to cut me off the program. I went through all my meds and found o...

I originally posted concerns about my pain doc finding methadone in my system. They called and only found valium, which the detox gave me instead of my prescribed klonopin. The pain docs office asked me about the valium, and I told them the hospital gave it to me for my panic attacks while I was there. They asked the name of the hospital, and when I was there. I told them. This place (Eagleville), is most known for detox and rehab, but they also have a geriatric psych treatment building. That's where I told them I went. They said, OK, at least we know where it came from, and I haven't heard back from them since. This was last week we spoke. Can they call Eagleville and investigate more details about why I was there, because I really was in there for alcohol detox, which is a vio...

I use at the most 3 days a week but most of the time I use just friday night and saturday. When im off opiates i always take 2mg of suboxone daily.
