My mom takes a lot of pills and a typo from me caused her to take two 90 mg ER Nifedipine tablets. I am TERRIFIED that I have just hurt or worsened my mom. What will happen? Should I take her to the ER? Should I call the ambulance. Nothing has happened yet, but I am so scared. Her blood pressure before was 186 over 104, pulse 95. PLEASE HELP, I AM FREAKING OUT!

Hello, Rhonda! How is your mom doing? Did she experience any adverse effects?
Generally doubling up once doesn't cause any serious issues, other than possibly more severe side effects, according to the FDA. So she may experience more nausea, dizziness, headache, and urination than normal. It could also cause her blood pressure to be lower than usual.
Is she on any other medications?
