Executive Summary
Endo files suit against FDA seeking preliminary injunction to require FDA to say whether Endo’s withdrawal of non-crush resistant Opana ER was for safety reasons; FDA contends it has until May 10, 2013 to make this decision.

To be completely honest, by the time any of it gets produced, approved and is ready to hit shelves, we could be into May 2013 and it may not help anyone, after all.
Learn more Opana details here.
The processes for all of this type of stuff can be very, very slow.
However, a generic would be great, since many can't afford the name brand and I don't think they've improved the prescription drug situation in the U.S. quite enough yet.
Are there any questions or comments?

Impax Launches Generic Opana ER Tablets
Impax announced the launch of Oxymorphone HCl Extended-Release Tablets, the generic version of Endo's Opana ER. Opana ER is indicated for moderate to severe pain when the use of a continuous, around-the-clock opioid is required for an extended period of time; not for "as-needed" use.
Oxymorphone, an opioid agonist, is relatively selective for the mu receptor, although it can interact with other opioid receptors at higher doses. Specific central nervous system (CNS) opiate receptors and endogenous compounds with morphine-like activity have been identified throughout the brain and spinal cord and are likely to play a role in the expression and perception of analgesic effects.
Impax is commencing shipment of Oxymorphone HCl Extended-Release Tablets through Global Pharmaceuticals in 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 15mg, 20mg, 30mg, and 40mg in 30-, 100-, and 1000-count bottles.
For more information call (510) 240-6000 or visit impaxlabs.com.
Didn't take them that long, hell a week after your post its already being shipped according to the Rep at Impax I spoke to. They don't want the long processes, they want to start making money ASAP!
Has anyone had their generic opana filled in Florida yet? If so what do they look like?
I live in New York but I can tell u what they look like! They are ORANGE and say G74. They are the same shape as the old OC but much thicker! Thank God the bulls*** is over! People now can get pain medicine to release into them in a timely fashion!
People who live in Florida, don't go to Publix's to get generic Opana. They are telling customer that oxymorphone by Impax isn't equal to the brand Opana so there for they can't fill it as generic Opana. One pharmacist told my friend this so they tried another Publix's and the first pharmacist notified the rest of Publix's in town that oxymorphone by Impax doesn't equal to brand by Endo. This is crap. Someone is trying to stop Impax from selling their generic Opana. Oxymorphone is much cheaper than the brand. When looking up generic Opana on line it states it is oxymorphone. Everyone in Florida, don't go to Publix's. One pharmacist did this. In this times everything cost has gone up and people are trying to cut down to make ends meet. People don't take medicines they should because they can't afford them. This isn't right. People die and are in pain because of this. Doctors are suppose to give you the best care they can and should help their patients to afford their care if they can.
I been on different kinds of narcotics for over 16 years know for chronic pain its really bad being 44 feeling like I'm in my 60's and barely able to walk any longer and my monthly visits to the pain doctor involve screening which make you feel like the common criminal in which we are not and I was just schooled this past month and told that I'm not even allowed even one glass of wine to take the edge off of the pain because they have me on such a low dose of pain meds at this point ... If there's anyone out there willing to give input I'd greatly appreciate it ...
