I have 2 bulging discs in my lower back... will this medication actually help with the pain ## Hi Kristen, Because everyone reacts and responds to these types of medications differently, I can't say that it "will" work, as I don't know your medical history, the severity of your pain, and other personal factors that your doctor should have taken into consideration before prescribing it to you. Methocarbamol is used to relieve the discomfort caused by acute (short-term), painful muscle or bone conditions. So in that sense I would think that it should offer at least some noticeable relief. Is this your first time taking pain medication?

white oval pill with R180 on the front with four sections on the back ## Zanaflex (4 mg) muscle relaxant. I like them to help me relax and sleep, as I suffer from insomnia. They work better than Flexeril. ## Tammy's identification is correct, this is a 4mg Tizanidine tablet, which is the generic for Zanaflex. I was beginning to think they gave me the wrong pills again because spasms are worse than what they usually are with the others they used to give me ## I think the reason that some people have had trouble identifying this one is due to the fact that it's very easy to misread the markings on the pills. It's actually meant to be N 030 and the actual dosage is 20mgs of the Baclofen. As a muscle relaxant, its side effects may include nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. And Ty, what did you end up doing? The medication just called Soma, or its generics Carisoprodol do not contain Codeine, or any other narcotic. Carisoprodol is the only active ingredient in them. Thus, though it is a muscle relaxant that can help with muscle spasms that cause pain, it will not help with other types of pain, such as nerve pain or surgical pain as a narcotic would. It is solely used for muscle pain and spasms. And the tablet originally asked about here, with the 2410 V marking contains only 350mgs of Carisoprodol, so it is a generic for Soma that contains no narcotics whatsoever. You can di...

I am a 73 old Indian male generally in good health except repeated episodes of depression and heart bypass surgery 20 yrs ago. It shouldn't be given to anyone with severe renal insufficiency, however, when someone just has a mild impairment, they can use it, but should be closely monitored by their doctors. The lowered kidney function usually causes increased plasma concentrations of most medications, so their bodies absorb more than the usual amounts and it takes longer for them to process it out.
