Methotrexate Reaction (Top voted first)
UpdatedWhen I take Methotrexate (7.5 mg.)
for my RA treatment, I get these
swollen areas in the tissue, on my lower leg and sometimes in my forearms that will turn bright red (like a sunburn). It really is painful and seems to feel better once it turns red. This will last up to 4 days. Anyone out there with a similar re-action?

I know exactly what you mean! I take the medication for my lupus. My doctor prescribed over the counter hydrocortisone cream and it does wonders. Also, when it is really sore he has me take vitamin e capsules, puncture them and squirt them on the area. Believe it or not, it really does take away a lot of the pain. Hope this helps.

Can you explain why you're so against Methotrexate? Also, what homeopathic treatment for you think is similar to Methotrexate?
