The U.S. FDA does list those as being possible side effects of it, as well as nausea, dizziness, mood swings and weight gain. My partner has been taking Lyrica for 4 years. Last year he was diagnosed with optic neuropathy in his right eye. This March nearly a year to date I had to rush to the eye and hospital again, the optometrist thought it was a teuma. He was again diagnosed with Optic Neuropathy now in his left eye which is very worse than the right eye, he is not allowed to drive, as there is not cure for this I am very concern as the eye doctor said he could go blind. He is also on OxyContin and the paper work in the tablet box said to contact your doctor if u have eye problems, I feel that the Lyrica has caused this condition, I had mentioned to the eye doctor about he medication he would not say it was the caused very worried. ## Please be careful i take them the side affects are blurred vision stagger...
Been on these meds for about 6 weeks on and off lyrica 225mg twice a day and clorazapate 7.5 twice a day. Am I physically dependent I want to be off them ## Hello, Bam! How are you? Both of these should be stopped slowly, via a taper, because stopping abruptly can create the risk of seizures. Thus, it would be best to consult your prescriber, so they can help you stop them carefully. The FDA lists other withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, fever, chills, depression and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with?
I am prescribed Lyrica and Pristiq for Fibromyalgia and depression and oxycodone for occasional pain from knee replacements. I have on occasion drank 2-3 alcohol drinks while taking this combination with no problem but the past two times I am totally fine when I go to bed but I wake with the worst hangover and it lasts for days. The last time, 3 weeks ago I had 2 beers, took the oxycodone (10mg) an hour later, took the lyrica and pristiq 5 hours later before going to bed and woke the next day really hung over with nausea every time I moved my head too quickly and I've had headaches and my thinking has been foggy ever since. For 3 weeks!! Could this combo have damaged something in my brain? Has anyone experienced this, or heard of this? Will this go away? ## Combining the medications...
I was prescribed lyrica, but I think I will pass, I heard too many bad things about it, I don't need anything to make me gain weight, and I heard your mind goes with that stuff, Nah. ## That is what I am saying now. That is the only side effect that I am bothered by. I weighed 160, I am 5'7" and gradually gained 100 lbs in 2 years. I am hoping it tops off. :( ## @Godsaven, To be fair, there are people who have had good experiences on lyrica. And while I don't advocate for the drug, I think it goes without saying that each individual is subject to respond differently to any medication. So there's really no way of knowing how you'll react until you try it. However, there is a lot of negative feedback on lyrica and I for one wouldn't gamble with it either after ...

I have been diagnosed with neuropathy of the feet. Was originally prescribed Lyrica, 200mg/3x a day. The relief from the pain was almost immediate. However the side effects at that dose were overwhelming. When I started having difficulty breathing I contacted my Dr and reduced the dosage dramatically. I dropped to 75mg2x a day and thankfully still had the relief from the pain. Weight gain with Lyrica is a real issue. I have gained over 30 lbs in 3 months on the drug. I have also started to take days off from taking it. I take it everyother day and sometimes i go every 3 days. You do build a tolerance to the drug quite quickly and I do not want to increase my dosage. Days off from it really help me with it's continued effectiveness. It does work wonderfully on reducing my pain, and o...
Just got to the end of week one taking Lyrica @75mg twice daily. I have had Lupus for ten years and my nerves are getting fried. Has anyone else experienced MORE pain at the beginning of this process? I usually have intermittent pain in various parts of my body from the Lupus which worsens if I'm having a flare up. But since starting the Lyrica my pain level has increased in every part of my body simultaneously. I'm hoping that this will go away after a few weeks but my fear is that it will just keep getting worse, so for now I feel like I'm just poisoning myself with every dose. I haven't seen a post on here describing this situation yet, hopefully someone can relate and help calm my nerves. (Double entendres not intended) Thanks ## That is always possible with such med...
