Klonipin Habit Forming?

I was wondering if Klonopin was habit forming? Can anyone help?

If you are taking it for seizures, what difference does it make. If you are taking it to sleep take something else.

klodapins and ANY benzo like valium, xanax, are EXTREMELY habit forming, and a narcotic.

I was taking Xanax 1mg to 2mg on and off (When needed) for about 5 years. After a while I started taking Xanax 0.5mg everyday twice a day for 16months. It's a VERY habited drug and the W/D is insanely hard. I've been clean off the drug for 64days now and still counting. I knew this drug was a depended drug and still took it because I Needed it. I fought hard to get off and believe me before 64 days ago I tried numerous of time to quit and failed. I'm going to share a story with you...Sad to say it was so hard to get off that me becoming pregnant didn't even make me want to stop, you would think Ok, now that I got unexpectedly pregnant this would make stop Well, it didn't. I ended up losing the pregnancy to non-related reasons, but that just goes to show you how hard it really is to quit, but totally worth it. I couldn't feel healthier, more active. Talk to your doctor and they will help you weave off the pill one way or another. It's a hard process but at the end it is completely worth it.

I had depended on it for several years but I am slowly reducing my dosage and hopefully will be getting off it. I have to pay for it and it is $43.90 for 90 days. All the rest of my prescriptions are taken care of by Medicare Part D. You don't want to be addicted to any of your meds. Some of them lose potency and you should switch to a different one. Good luck.

Klonopin for me was incredibly habit forming. I got the point where I could take 15 to 20 pills at a time (each day) because my tolerance was so high. I felt like I needed it all of the time (day/night) etc. I have a history of addiction for myself and my family, though.

Yes as any benzos such as xanax. I would think on your bottle is a label warning you. However, I've taken a low dose of klonopin since 1997. Yes I'm physically dependent and that's ok. At least I can function and have a quality life instead of being in fear,depression and anxiety!
