Well that is a loaded question. There are many, many generic drug manufacturing companies, and each company that makes these pills will make one that looks different and has different markings. There are no laws or rules that say all drugs with the same active ingredient have to look the same, they just have to have unique imprint markings for ID purposes, but how the pill looks, the size, shape, and color, is totally up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer.
Now, that said, this pill is NOT Amitriptyline anyway.

This pill is Metropolol 25mgs, a generic Lopressor, which is used to reduce the workload on the heart. It is a beta-blocker.
