It is also used to treat some heart and vessel diseases as it has been shown that it can reduce the chemical hyestene (sp.?) which can lower blood pressure and help the heart and blood vessels.
I am having trouble with my insurance covering Folbic, my heart doctor has prescibed it. Can you suggest any alternatives. Over the counter or other perscription more widley accepted.
Trish, your best bet is to check with your insurance company, most of them have a drug formulary list that will let you know what they will cover, then you and your doctor can look it over and see if there are any other viable alternatives.
I want to know why my doctor would prescrib Folbic Acid for me. Is it a generic of Plavix.
