Fill Oxycodone Prescription (Page 19) (Top voted first)
UpdatedCannot fill them anywhere in Bradenton or Sarasota. Please help I have a real doctor and the pharmacy I have been going to the past year in my city says they will no longer fill out of county. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Bradenton or Sarasota that can help a patient fill qty 180 oxycodone 30mg? Please help. On the verge of getting deathly ill w/out meds! Thank you.
Anyone heard of the program through covidien Mallinckrodt they make oxycodone and the letter they sent with the card to me said I will pay only a 20.00 co pay for a 30 day supply with a quantity maximum of 90 on all of their covered drugs. I looked up the covered ones and they were the 30mg pills with the M on the front of them the thicker ones. I just had to fax them my proof of income and then they sent me this because my Medicaid has a 1600 share of cost. Anyone want the info of where to get the application let me know im on fb same name. :) I don't have a new pain Dr yet going to try this one in Cape Coral on Thursday when I get the money but don't know if ill get my med back.
My husband has degenerative disc disease, multiple ruptured and bulging discs and he's only 33 years old! He's prescribed 150 Oxycodone 15 mg per month by him PM doctor. We have had the WORST time trying to get a pharmacy to fill them. We also live in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. I've had MANY pharmacies tell me that they won't fill for his doctor and some have even said absolutely, we have it, come back in an hour and when I go back, they've only filled 22 of them!! I've gone to a certain Walmart pharmacy 3 times in the same day and on the 3rd try they magically have them in stock. This is becoming ridiculous and very stressful! Let me know if anyone comes up with a solution, there has to be laws against this sort of crap!
i am a 45 yearold male who has multiple herniated disk and nerve damage . ive been on pain medication for 20 years i have always filled my rx with walgreens at the same walgreen for the last year i get multiple medications like we all do one of which is oxycodone 30 ml 145 quanity . i was unable to fill my script last month at all after stopping into 100,s of pharmecy,s and spending 100,s of dollars in gas . i was told everything from they are on back order to you dont qualify to your dr dosnt qualify even though my doctor has never been sued or has never been under investigation in the 25 years he has been in practice . the pharmecy.s always tell me they would be happy to fill the other 5 scripts for me but then i would be walking around with just a script for my 30,s and we all know that would make a tuff situation that much tougher . i went to my dr appt last week after 28 days of being un able to fill my oxycodone and asked him to change my medication and he did to dilaudid 8,s which has been a struggle to fill as well , i was on my way to a mom and pops i was told i could get filled at and on my journey i was driving by a walgreens i have not tried yet so i went in for sh**s and giggles i handed my scripts to the pharmecist on duty and she informed me that walgreens just sent a memo that all walgreens in the state of florida will any longer be carring c2 medications so when i left i decided to give walgreens corperate a call since i have the number in my cell anyways to confirm and she did just that she said until further notice they indeed will not be carrying any c2 medication what so ever . this is ridicolous i have had a othopedic surgeon tell me surgery will cause me more damage in the long run and word for word i was told i would have to be medicated for the remainder of my life i carry my mri with me at all times and im willing to show it to anyone that has any doubt in my medical needs ... atleast the mom and pops helped me out with the dilaudid cost me 500 $ for my scripts but i also have the muscle relaxers and anti inflammitory,s that i also need but have been unable to get until now .
To Nick, thanks for the advise. Im on medicare due 2 motorcycle accident, im disabled, paralysed in left leg due to spinal cord damage. I finally got on medicare after 2 yrs, I have a Rxplan with AARP, they have a good mail in service, Prescription Solutions, I overnighted my scripts to them, and payed extra 2 overnight them back so I shud have them within the week, I did go to ER, due 2 nerve spazams, they gave me script for tramadol, and gave me a couple valums for the nerve spazams, so the mail in service is the way to go if u have gud insurance, on another note, the pharmacy ive used for 3 yrs, my brother went there yesterday an got his script filled but when I went there 2day he said they still havent got them in...my brother pays cash for his, but I have insurance, so they just wanna make the extra money!! How messed up is that!! He even said thats how we make our living...i think thats total BS, I wish I could report them to somebody...the only ones that have pills are the drug dealers....its a cryin shame...
Enough about Facebook, I'm not a member of Facebook. Is there some other way to reach these groups?
Mike, does your brother use a mom and pop, or a chain Pharmacy?? Mom and Pop places would always rather have the "cash" patrons.
thanx to my doctor getting closed down june 27th, people that are hurt badly in chronic pain are basically "screwed" until i get medicaid from disability. so i have no insurance and have to pay cash. i just got done with my withdrawl from last tuesday through monday was pretty bad. days 3-5 are the worst and it is what it is, ive been shot in face, metal plate, bullet also blew my spinal cord out of alignment causing me to get my neck with 4 fusions, plates, rods, everything. im lucky to be walking and alive(thank Jesus) but i live in pain, waiting for my disability and then medicaid...still months away so i tried getting insurance-DENIED from blue cross due to my neck/jaw surgeries.
so the few places i tried to get into all have said no and my attorney wants me to to the next town where his doctor is at for pain management but hes 1 county over and i cant use him cause i cant fill..now i sent off 3 applications to the only doctors in my area who will take cash as payment(rest you must have insurance) so i went through withdrawl last week, legs still cramped but worst is over but im in pain. pretty messed up a legitamite, chronic pain patient like me cant even get a doctor to see me, and the ones who will see me are in the next county...if i dont get a call/appt soon then i will have to move down south of me just so i can see a doctor and be able to fill the rx. its so messed up we have to go through this bulls*** all because of greedy ass doctors breaking the law and junkies who dont really need the meds are getting them, and on and on. its really sad now in the usa..only gonna get worse if things dont change.
NEED TO KNOW WERE TO PICK UP DEA RECORDS IN PORT ST LUCIE FL OR DEA # TO CALL
TODD -AND everyone else in need(legit patients of COURSE)
I'm in pinellas county& I spent all day on the phone from Walgreens executive ctr, to the DEA, Then told to call the Florida dept of health-Pharm.Board & I felt I was getting somewhere ...its such a long story BUT all of them said...no new rules as of June 2012 -what I was told & the DUTY INVESTIGATOR FOR THE DEA told me to make Walgreens show new statues in black n white. BUT they ALL SAID although it may not be right (my situation being SAME DR & WALGREENS FOR OVER TEN FLIPPING YEARS!)BUT its up to each pharmacist in the end! SERIOUSLY? I'M LIVID!I also told my doctor & she shook my hand n thanked me...saying im the 1st person to do anything. And IM NOT STOPPING! I WAS ON 300 oxycodone 30s /mth and methadone 10 mgs. And I obviously wouldn't raise hell if I didn't have legitimate & major issues. Yes, there are worse problems than mine but Im too tired to go into everything. Basically I have kids to raise and I need to do so, as I have been...with my meds. Even all that dosent make me "high". I just want to have a quality of life bc w/o meds I can't move.
After all that...the DEA info I have for my area (central) is:
DEA Tampa district office
On Kennedy blvd
813-287-4765
The Duty Investigator in my area that I spoke to has known my doc for years & he was VERY helpful. If this isn't your area then they will get you the correct DEA OFFICE. Sorry so lengthy but hope it helps!!
think about that part of " up to individual pharmacist" as their way of saying F U. Walgreens has made MILLIONS of $$$ off us but now they are like this. If the DEA isn't stopping us then how is it legal to deny meds to patients? Hope everyone remembers this when the big RX calls for surveys or wants community help so you can tell them to STICK IT...
Donna,
I could not find American pain Foundation on Facebook.
Is it US PAIN FOUNDATION?. Can you please paste a hyperlink to it..I want to talk to you.
I know everyone is having a hard time gettting there prescriptions filled. If you are worried about becoming ill ask your doctor to prescribe Clonidine and Klonopin. You can take one of each 2 times a day and I swear to you it will keep you from becoming very ill.
Donna Ratliff, a Florida advocate for people with pain who are having trouble getting their prescriptions filled, is planning a rally at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee for September 10. She is raising funds to support the rally, including renting buses to bring people from South Florida to the capital.
For more information, please contact Donna Ratliff or find her on Facebook page -" Fight For Pain Care Action Network".
if you dont have an attorney to get the records...good luck...i was told i couldnt get mine until trial is done...thankfully i have other surgical records..dea sux and good luck
I did not read all of these messages, but I read several. What no one seems to have understood yet is that it is not the pharmacist's decision to fill your script unless THEY OWN THE PHARMACY. If we work for a chain, OUR EMPLOYER tells us who we can and cannot fill for. Please keep in mind that while you all hate pharmacists, for the most part we can really care less we are just trying to keep our jobs and follow the rules set for us by the companies we work for. These companies answer to the DEA. So have fun flipping out on your pharmacist because while you may not appreciate what we have to say or how we say it the bottom line is we are doing what we are told to do by our employers and the DEA. If you don't think we have to hear about this everyday from our bosses you're wrong. If you don't think they're looking at every rx we fill, you're wrong. Go ahead and call the supervisor and to get us fired for doing what we're told. Just because we're the ones that need to deal with you does not mean it's our fault!!!
Not True PharmD.. Not True! we all do KNOW that all Pharmacists have a choice of who they fill for or not..
It IS profiling.. Passing judgement..
My Hubby personally had a pharmacist say I have them But I CHOOSE not to fill them..know why? because he had Two C2 scripts plus 2 others scripts and he said my hubby was being over prescribed..
Hubby(over 50yro) has been with same Doctor for 6yrs, same meds, was with the same pharmacy, until they wouldn't fill them, (because they were out all of sudden out of stock)
Pharmacist told hubby to lower the oxy to #180 and he would fill them..which hubby Did Do last month.
You think the pharmacists filled it? No he did not..
So PharmD do not post that you do not have a choice to fill for patients, that the DEA comes down on you or your corp or whomever dictates to you..
YOU are the Pharmacist, NOT the Doctor that can prescribe, you need to think back of Why you wanted to go to school for so long and be a Pharmacist to help people
FIGHT FOR PAIN ACTION NETWORK on Facebook..
they are planning a rally in Tallahassee
Do you really believe walgreens doesnt have oxycodone because insurance reasons, its all bulls***! people in legit pain need this med and like someone above said its the pharmacy playing doctor. Its medical discrimination, I personally know a Walgreens Pharmacist and there is no law about filling out of county, in rural parts of the state specialist are hard to find so for instance if i had to go the the Miami heart institute and see a surgeon or Dr. there i cant fill his script in Gainesville, thats not a law its pharmacy bureaucracy and hopefully someone starts a class action suite against companies like Walgreens who say in their commercials , Fill your prescription anywhere in minutes but discriminate against pain meds. My mom is a RN nurse for over 20 years and was told by a Pharmacist that she didn't need her pain meds. This is just getting ridiculous. The gentlemen on the board of florida reg. that controls the amount of meds that are allowed is Chinese and does not believe in Western Medicine, thats also why the # has gone from 300 to 240 to 210 to 180 and now to 150 tablets. Someone has to do something. Any Lawyers out there that can give us some ideas?
I have called several attorneys and no one will do anything. I said the same thing as you and it is BULL. PharmD if you want to help tell your bosses what is going on. if my pharmacist was arrested for filling my meds I would go to court myself to fight for him or her. just remember when it hits close to home for you then let us all know how you feel PharmD.
Goodtimes40, if u don't mind me asking, what is ur trial for...can we help? I agree with all who have had trouble with pharmacists, I used to respect this profession. I recently had an experience where a pharmacist told me he didn't have to fill.my scripts because he was a Doctor himself and knew more than my doctor! In other words, he can diagnose, read films of all types, write scripts, do minor surgical procedures, etc??!! I proceeded to let theWalgreen's manager know what he told me & it is on store
!
tape! Another pharmacist actually told me that methadone was short acting, Not long acting, which is a lie! acting! This info could be dangerous. If I didn't Know better! Why must they lie, tell stories, I
mislead the public? Not All pharmacists are unethical but it makes those that are a disgra!ce to their profession. I have pancreatic CA, so I need my meds but have to do the runaround each mth. I have no insurance, only cash...same problem! I know of a criminal who has HIV & gets his meds without fail every nth! He has been arrested too many times to count
He is not sick, but since he has HIV from needles, is considered hospice & will Always get his meds, all 5 of his narcotics which he sells. He drives nice cars, nice clothes, etc...while selling, grand theft, home invasion, cocaine, heroin...too many to count! And the ones who need the meds can't get them! As God ad my witness,.I speak the truth! What can we do? The police & his docs know about this...he will outlive us all, like Manic J has! This criminal I'm talking about, Edwin, is as fit as a horse! I have no more to say!
