Dosage For Zertalin Azitromicini

I have a slight fever and coughing and chest hurts. I have a bottle of zertalin azitromicini 6 500 mg tablets. This is a z-pack. Do I take one a day for six days.?

I have a slight fever cough chest congestion and chest hurts when I cough. I took 1 500 mg of zertalin azithromycin today. There r 6 in the bottle. Do I take 1 per day for 6days

Hello, Doreen! How are you feeling?

This is an antibiotic, so it should only be taken, if your doctor confirms the presence of an infection. If you have a cold, it is caused by a virus, not a bacterial infection, so antibiotics aren't appropriate and will do nothing to treat it.

The normal dosing, for many infections, is a 500mg starter dose, the 250mgs per day for the next 4 days.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
