I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Chrisk69, sorry I did not see you message sooner. I really don't visit the site much after it starting getting so petty for a while. Doctor in Warren is Dr. Idrees @8mile and I-75. His # is 586-755-7200. He comes in the office around noon. The fee use to be 150.00a month. Good luck.

Re tattooed , what u can do is have your clinic set you up to guest dose at another clinic where you will be vacationing . Others have done this . Your clinic should help you with another clinic the counselors have a book with location of clinics in diff states. That's about the only thing you can do that i know about. It's called . Guest Dosing. Can't hurt to try.

I have A cronic pain disease and have been going to a clinic for 7 years. I need a doctor as I have to mive due to the loss of my Mom. I live near Detroit but am moving up North ....plz help!

I suffer from chronic Pain and I was on 480mg of oxycontin 4percocets 4 soma 200mcg fentanyl daily and my Dr. Just stopped prescribing and I went through horrible withdrawal and ended up at a Methadone clinic. It's costing so much and it's such a pain going every day! I find it works well on my pain and my cravings are going away. I need a doctor to go to here in Battlecreek that will give me a months supply to treat my pain and addiction can anyone please help me???

Hello, I have been on methadone through a clinic in south east Michigan for just about 2 years. My question/problem is my clinic does NOT prescribe methadone for extended vacations.. I am going on a 6 to 8 week vacation and I leave in 10 days... I am hoping and praying that someone out there will help point me in the right direction.. I need the name & contact info of a doctor here in south east Michigan who will prescribe a month or more of methadone for my vacation....I have called many, many doctors I have found on forums just to be told no or that they r not taking new patients.. I do not have insurance, but I have no problem paying whatever the office fee is.. thank you for your time, and plz email me any info you'd be willing to share, since Im not quite sure Ill have time to read through a page of replies that are not in response to my post. Hi Pam, I read a post from last year of a doc in Warren you recommended. I am coming from Northern Michigan and really need the help to save me. Please let me know who it is cause it will be a costly drive and I obviously t cannot afford a clinic driving 8 hours a day. Please help.

Ashley, like you I suffer from severe chronic pain and my doc of 7 years retired who treated me with methadone. Up here there is a major shortage of pain management doctors and I will drive anywhere for treatment except cause of clinics where I would be driving 6 to 8 hours a day. If you could please help me with the name of doctor asap I would really appreciate the help. Thank you

Thank You Kamarx. I truly appreciate it. This is just so terrifying. The search continues..... a lot of people have said to just go to a pain management dr. and that they would help me somehow. I was also recently (finally) diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well as the other probs... panic disorder, generalized anxiety, social, and BIPOLAR!!! plus other potentially painful disorders or diseases. They are seeing how i do on cymbalta and lyrica and vicodin and xanax and flexeril.... no way i could afford the lyrica! so i have gone with a VERY low dose of vicodin for the pain... ha!!! yeah that is like taking half a tylenol. not to mention wayyy too much tylenol in vicodin. can not take motrin. thanks again. if anyone else can help it would be greatly appreciated! Pam, I am sorry to bother you but I am trying to find a Dr. who can treat my pain with Methadone. I am in northern michigan and had a doc for 7 years who retired and now its been impossible up here. I am willing to drive anywhere in michigan but cannot afford to be driving to a clinic everyday. Your help would greatly be appreciated. Thx

I just moved here from Hawaii and I went to Dr. Peter Chang at the Family Health Center in Battle Creek. I was unsure about it first since I have also been in chronic pain for a long time now. And my last pain doctor had me on Oxy and Percocet. But he was really nice, but decided to put me on Fetentyal Pain Patches. I had to sign a pain agreement and they do random drug screening. Just an FYI. But if you have your previous records and nothing to hide he should be able to help you out. The office number to make an appt. is 269-965-8866

I forgot to mention I am a member of a website called Living With TN, there is a section to "find" doctors. And there some listed for the Michigan area for anyone that is interested. Living With TN are for ppl suffering from Chronic Pain so I'm not sure about them prescribing methadone. But for others in chronic pain, it wouldn't hurt to see if there is one listed in your area. All doctors that are listed come from personal experiences from patients. So that is the good part. There is not a doctor on there that is NOT a good doc. Take a look and see if you or anyone can find one.
