I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Suezanne, One Dr. Is Dr. I dress, 8 mile right off I-75. 586-755-7200. He's not in mornings but if you call someone will answer.

Anyone realize what yr. Your living in.?? No Dr. Other than a good pain management Dr.Is just gonna write perscriptions for methadone. Seriously so what if you don't like clinics that treat methadone. That's just the way it is nowadays .Somebody keeps sending others to same Dr. Do you really think he's not gonna notice an increase in patients all asking for methadone. Cmon use your brains.

I am in mid Michigan and have been on suboxone already THREE TIMES!!!! It made me feel terrible!!! A methadone CLINIC IS simply NOT AN OPTION. I do however KNOW WITH ALL MY HEART. that an actual take home script is exactly what I need. No clinics, no. Suboxone . I also have recently in the past year been diagnosed with fibromyalgia ...... very painful no energy. I've given up on college. I have givin up pretty much everything!! 3 kids. I KNOW THEY SUFFER! I can't do anything and I need methadone. It's the only thing that's worked for me at all!!! ( I just can't do the. "Buy off others with a prescription" anymore). Thank you to anyone who can help.

Linda, which doctor did you go to if I may ask? The doc I was using in Warren would not bill my insurance.

I also was looking for a doc who would prescribe methadone from his private office. I found one on here that someone recommended. He is in Warren, MI and I went there this morning. He only prescribed me 14 5 mg. tabs, but that was because I opened my big mouth and told him I was a kidney patient on dialysis. (probably for my own good that I told him that though)!

i go back in one week for another rx. It looks like I may have to go once a week, at least for a while. (Still better than going to a met climic every day AND be required to see a counselor etc. Oh, by the way, iy cost me NOTHING! He took my medicaid/medicare.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if these docs who prescribe methadone take medicaid/medicare???
or are they Strictly Cash (like the dope man). lol!

This would be great. I originally started met at a doctors office. hd gave it to me because i told him i was addicted to the vicodines he prescribed me. i really do think he was trying to help me. anyway, hes not there anymore and i had to get met from only two people i knew that had it.. Im so sick of having to worrie about this. I went to a doctor someone mentioned on here and he only gave me 20 10 mg pills and told me that I needed to find a pain specialist to go to? I have insurance but its threw the state. Can I have the number. Or do u have any advice for me...

Dr. Sharid is good. He's a chronic pain specialist. I also live in BC, and I go to Dr. Chang at the Family Health Center of BC. I've also been going to a Chiropractor as well which has helped tremedously with my pain. His name is Dr. Wooten. They are all fantastic doctors. Good luck on your search.

Try Dr. Seth Egleston. I know he prescribes for it. You will have to look him up. He's in battle creek.
