Digesting Alcohol

Since taking Victoza I feel like my stomach is digesting alcohol differently.

I feel like I have a hangover the next day even if I just have a few drinks.

Hello, Terry! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.

Likely, it is due to 2 issues, the first issue, which I am not sure you are aware of is that alcohol can lower your blood sugar levels, thus when you drink, it could be making it drop too low. Have you ever checked your levels, after having a few drinks?

The next issue is that alcohol can enhance the side effects of a medication, so you may experience more nausea, dizziness and drowsiness than usual, after having a few drinks, as reported by the FDA.

So, there is probably good reasons why you feel that way. Most medications, when combined with alcohol, can make one drink affect you as if you've had 2 and so on.
