Difference Between Yellow Hydrocodone Acetaminophen With 1096 Vs White Pill Same Strength But U03. Both Say Sub For Norco. (Page 6) (Top voted first)
UpdatedJust want to know difference between both pills, beside Manufacturers. I was taking Hydocodone-Acetaminophen 10-325 yellow pill #1096 on one side a V on other side. I was then switched to a white oval pill with the same strength, but has U03 on one side. both say substituted for Norco.
I take my Med as I am suppose to I don't miss use them
Yes. I always have had the yellow. I'm out of town an they gave me the white ones. I took one an felt loopy, nausea, and had to lay down and try to sleep it off! I habe never ever felt that from the yellow pills!!! I called the pharmacists an they said there was nothing I could do but call my doctors and have them give me a new script an call other pharmacy to see if they have the yellow ones! Ughhhh
Will repost this info ....... if you have found a medication that works for you at the bottom of the label to the right of the strength there is a manufacteror code .... look on the bottle the med that worked came in and call the pharmacy and ask them what those letters mean ....then when you drop any scripts confirm the manufacteror b4 you leave when you pick up your script inspect that they are the correct ones .... its not rocket science
Go to any CVS that is their discerning difference from other rx's!
Yes. The same thing happened to me today for the first time and a very long time I've never had these white over ones and I feel horrible all day. It's supposed to be the same thing but I'm itching uncontrollably and I feel like I'm going to throw up I don't understand.
Yes ! That's the same here but I take 6 a day an i feel the Same way
I have taken several pain pills for years including hydros 367 and U03 and they work great no pain no nothing '. Maybe they work on certain people and we have different reactions
Re: Confusedmcsc (# 99)
They all have some side effects ! Some people take benadryl but ask your doctor before you take anything
Re: Roro (# 103)
The difference : a doc explained to me that the coating on the yellow is not as thick as the white they are both suppose to be time Release the yellow dissolves quicker then the yellow the white takes longer to dissolves slow so the white you don't feel the full effect as fast as you would the yellow that is what a doc explained to me is this is so I don't know but it makes since
I am sorry, I've been in a lot of pain lately and I am taking it out on you. Please forgive me.
Re: Bull (# 110)
Why did u apologize? He was wrong. He should be apologizing to you and everyone else!
Re: Carla (# 116)
I explained to my doctor about how the white didn't work for me and he said no problem he would fix it and he did but some insurance won't pay for them. So I at one time used CVS drug store to get the yellow ones. You might need to call different drug store to see which one they keep in store. Some insurances just pay for the cheapest one.
Re: Roy Colby (# 115)
Doing what u suggest puts the liver at risk .... the reduction of acetamenophen was to ruduce chances of liver damage
Re: Smith (# 4)
Does it have any wheat or soy in it the U03. I'm have celiac
Re: Lindsey (# 122)
That is exactly the problem - everyone that has no experience with these pain medications trying to tell those that deal with them every day that they don't know what they are talking about. It's kinda like a guy looking at a book that says how to rebuild your automatic transmission telling the guy that has been rebuilding automatic transmissions for years how to do it. It gets very frustrating. When I need to change pharmacies because they change brands, I call around and ask if they carry the yellow qualitest that was bought out by par industries, but beware par also makes useless whites in their new york facility. So specify yellow and check them before you accept your meds.
Re: Swim (# 3)
I suffer with cronic back pain and usually get the yellow version of the pill, last refill I was given the white uo2 and I noticed right away the strength was much stronger, definitely reduced pain better than the yellow
It seems to me the yellow ones are better and I have tried both. A few people on here prefer the white ones, but the majority prefer the yellow. When I say anything to my dr. or the Pharmacist they say it is my tolerance. That may be a factor as well, but can’t see how when the yellow ones work fine and the white ones suck, but they are the same? I just think the different generic pills effect everyone differently.
Started on name brand 7.5 back in '96 until insurance wouldn't cover anymore. Told dr. and he changed me to generic 10's because he said they would be equivalent to name brand 7.5's quality of ingredients and he was right. I usually swap brands month to month to not get use to one brand. Yellow V3601 provides me with most pain relief followed by M367 which provides moderate relief. Long story short, I tried U03 two different months in '17 and it's the worst pain I've had in years. Told pharmacy to never put them in rotation again. They don't work. Still getting same relief with other generics.
Re: John (# 127)
Yep i used to change manufacterors for that same reason but for the last couple years i stayed with par/qualitest 3601 and have not really noticed a decline in relief .... some days i might take an xtra 1 but some days i take less it depends on my activity/pain level more activity =more pain but i also take a day off here & there and just watch tv all day .... but i do maintain patch usage on those days on occasion i might get an xtra 12 hours on a patch but those are few and more often i lose a few hours on a patch thus i try to apply i morning that way they lose potency @ bedtime and the mucsle relaxer helps to sleep threw the pain
Re: Neil (# 7)
